The Deer Hunter
Michael, Steven, and Nicky are three friends who were drafted to fight in the Vietnam war. Returning home from the horrors he experienced there, Michael realizes that his deer hunting outings aren’t the same as they used to be, he discovers that Steven has returned permanently disabled, and Nicky hasn’t returned from Vietnam at all. This prompts Michael’s decision to return to Vietnam to mount a rescue.
