A Safari Romance

The uber-capable Megan runs her own travel agency, which specializes in booking corporate retreats and other travel for the executives and employees of Fortune 500 companies. Detail oriented to the extreme, Megan is always able to create the perfect getaway for her clients’ needs, even if that means she needs to be available 24-hours-a-day. To say that has impacted her personal life – or lack thereof – is probably an understatement. She has friends and family that she loves, but not much of a dating life since a bad breakup a few years earlier. And while she plans amazing trips for other people, she rarely gets out of her home office. When her biggest client comes looking for something “out of the box” for their next retreat – and says that they will use someone else if she can’t find it – Megan is reminded by her best friend Amy of an invitation to visit Karibu (which means “welcome.”), a reserve in South Africa that bills itself as a luxurious safari experience. Taking time away from work to travel halfway around the world to go on safari sounds crazy to Megan, but she is eager to prove that she is not the workaholic that Amy insists she is and invites her along as her “plus one” to prove it.
