Two strangers meet at a North Carolina inn, each planning to deal with very troubling circumstances in their lives. Paul is a doctor who has come to try to reconcile with his estranged son. Adrienne is trying to decide whether or not to stay in her unhappy marriage. Sparks fly when the two first cross paths, and a relationship begins to build that may open up new possibilities for both of them.
